Onna: You could make one! Barley's intermediate level book on needle lace has a chapter on how hollie point was used as insets in baby clothing and baby bonnets. Of course the baby would need to be several months away from arriving. : )
thank you so much.I have some books on the way from the library. Is this Barley's a recent book? I am gobbling up info.

Onna: The Barley book is the one listed as an intermediate level on in our BEGINNERS group.
Catherine Barley, NEEDLELACE: DESIGN AND TECHNIQUES, CLASSIC AND CONTEMPORARY, 1993, reprinted 2001
thank you for your suggestion. I am working on one. However I getting much curl and thinking it may be the Lisabeth#20 white thread I have chosen. Any suggestions on better threads that lay and hold better?

I also have experienced crochet cottons curling up when I use them for needlelace. The solution is to let the needle and thread drop and unspin itself. I do that 2 or 3 times per row.
