Matthew Gnagy on facebook has posted some photos of punto in aria really worked "in the air". He is doing it freehand, like puncetto or oya, but the designs are more similar to geometric needle lace. I have not heard of this before. I am not aware of this being historic practice. Does anybody know anything about this. Is this just an isolated experiment, or am I missing something?
