Guild of Needle Laces

Guild of Needle Laces

The Guild of Needle Laces is a non profit making organisation, set up in 1983 to promote the interest, skills, teaching, conservation, history and exhibition of all needlemade laces.  Go to their website for detailed information about their activities.   They are based in the UK, but have members abroad.   Michael Dennis, a Committee Member for that guild, will answer questions.  Anyone can join this group.  Membership in the Guild of Needle Laces is not required.

Gosh! how did I miss this Group?!  I have joined all the others!!!! I, too, am a Member of the Guild.

I think this group started while I was mentally in limbo, with my DH very ill., but not sure how come I did not see it on the Groups list, when I got back to normal (normal for me, that is!!)  anyway,. I have found you now!!!!!! :)

Ive had a word with the committee and you would need to become an overseas member at a cost of £21 (not sure what that currently is in dollars).  Im afraid until we get a few more members in the USA, an International branch isnt an option.  Membership is available via our website, see the link above.  I hope that answers your question.  kind regards Emily

Dear Amber,

We dont have a huge amount of members abroad, although its something we'd like to work on.  Can I ask whereabouts you are? maybe we could look into it for you?

Comment by Amber Lackey on April 29, 2012 at 4:43pm

Does the guild have enough members abroad to host international branches?

Hi there Onna,

Are you a member of the Guild?

What sort of things would you like to see from the Guild?
