Lorelei, I find it eassier to make a lace on the diagonal, starting at the corner and working up. It's a little tricky rounding the corners. It is more tedious to start from a parallel base. But both methods of working the lace have their merits. I just seem to be making more laces on the diagonal lately. When working a parallel base one must make sure that the tension is not too tight or the lace will not turn out well.
One of your pieces was started at a corner, and worked along that diagonal. But this one is worked parallel to one straight side. Is one way easier than the other, or what?
