Sounds good to me

Maureen my thought was that we would each try out whichever of those stitches that interest us, individually.  I don't think there is a reason for us all to work the exact same thing.  With enough variants, and enough good description of how we did it, we would end up with a very fine tutorial that our members and visitors can refer to in the future. Yes, I agree that we just take stitches we like from E of N and try them out.

I just set up a DISCUSSION in our STITCHES group. We can use that as the place to post more comments and samples of various ways to make those little rings.

Hi   I use that 5 petal design a lot for my beginners, that is if they are not working a 3-d flower.  What sort of stitches are we going to work?  Are we planning different ones from the E of Needlework ones, or are we doing something in particular, or are we just picking stitches, grids that we like and then putting them on for Tutorials.    My guess that the idea is we take some of the stitches in the E of N book that are not named or found elsewhere but that we like,  but I may have misunderstood.   Anyone want to comment.

Or a simpler version of the flower  from this site http://lacemaking-needlelacer.blogspot.com/

Sounds like fun... so we'd be practicing various methods with rings?  I think a pattern with places for dots would work, like the start Lorelei posted, or a flower like this

I would suggest either the first one, ie the star, or the third one the fancy leaf shape. Or maybe give a choice of working one or all three depending on the time we can give it

Count me in as well.

It's a great idea, please count me in and advise which motif is chosen. I have no particular personal preference, though I note there are already quite a few leaves already in the albums. Will the "committee" advise which stitches they would like worked?
