OK Rosi. Back in 2012 several of us started to try this lace. If you go back to our comments of December 2012 and January 2013 in the PAG group, you will see the early stages where you may find answers to some of your questions.  Start here.

And I am sure Xiaojie will help as well. Just get started.

Dear Maria,

unfortunatelly there is school in the Pag, but not every year. Also the school is free only for Croatia citizens, I don t know if there is possibility of studing for foreign people. The course is from September until Juny , three times a week for 4 hours.

I thank you Lorelei for your answer. As I wrote I have practice with Aemilia Ars, reticello  and other laces ; as per what I've seen , the construction of this kind of lace is very similiar to that of Aemilia Ars. I saw all your pictures but of course a book should very usefull...unfortunately nothing has been written ...Could you please be so kind to inform me  about the name and the address of that school, or telephone number? Thanks a lot. Have a nice day

Maria

As far as I know, no one has published a book on how to make Pag lace, in any language. There is a lace school in the town of Pag, in Croatia. Our member, Xiaojie has studied at that school. The series of photographs here show the steps in working this lace. I think a student must know a little about needle lace before starting with these lessons. But it is possible. Several of us have used these photos to make little samples of this lace.

Xiaojie

THANK YOU for the lastest group of photos.  The software makes it look as if I posted your photos.  All I did was to put them into an album.  I hope I have them all in the right order.

I'm back from holiday and am amazed at how far you have got with this.  I could not get through to the Internet as the signal was so poor, - so I get very frustrated, and annoyed. (Have lodged a complaint!!! ) I have missed you all, and my "fix" of Pag lace!!  happy New Year everyone, and I think it looks like being an intyeresting one with a new lace - this one!!!

Where is the actual pattern for this piece?  I have a different pattern, I think.
