I completed the plant in the upper right corner and started to pad and cover some of the lizard's outline. I am very conscious of what is in front and what is behind and I'm making decisions about how much padding to add.

Where you see the dark penned outline, there will be stems every two squares (overcast with button hole stitch with a loop in the end). You can see what I mean if you look at my first project (the one with the frog and lily pad). I have designed a bobbin lace to go on the outer border to frame the picture and it will use those loops for attachment points. I haven't posted a sample of the bobbin lace because this is the needlelace forum! I could probably use some advice on the bobbin lace.
