"I bought some of the shiny thread that the Turkish ladies use for oya while we were in Turkey and it is a very slick polyester. I had a lot of trouble using it because the knots don't stay but that is apparently not a problem with…"
thanks for your willingness to help. If you have any problems at all with the software, contact me. It's easy enough, once you have figured it out. But several members have needed help. You wouldn't be the first.
Devon tells me that you are an expert on oya and writing a book. I am very glad to hear this, especially glad to have someone with special knowledge of that form. Please think about joining our PUNCETTO/OYA group. Sometimes questions come up there that none of the rest of us can answer. Even in grouping puncetto and oya together you can see the hand of someone who doesn't know anything. I am hoping you can contribute some clarity to our discussions there.
If you have any problems with the software, please contact me, and I'll try to help. The easiest way to contact me is to click on the blue flower (my avatar -- a kind of symbol for me). That will take you to my profile page, and there you can find a comment box, and leave me a note.
Welcome. Please go to our MAIN page and read the NOTES titled WHAT THE FEATURES ARE FOR (it explains how the software for the site works) and LACES INCLUDED (it explains the territory covered by our group).
If you have trouble using the software, contact me and I'll try to help.
