Grew up in needlework and textile heritage (German). From age 5, sewing, crochet, knit, weave. Began researching artisan lace techniques and global histories in 1998 when I moved into my vtg home. My substantial inherited laces and library are enlarged with numerous purchases. Retired after my prof'l career (govt, finance, legal, I.T., corporate) to 25+ years specialized care for 2 family members. That having concluded, I look very fwd to laces and textiles participations.

Welcome. Please read all the NOTES. They explain our policies, the laces we include, and how the software works. Join any groups that interest you. Post some photos of your best needlelace. NOTES explain how to do these things. If you are not already a member of laceioli, I suggest you join that network also. It is also free to join. And it includes all hand made laces -- all the kinds you mentioned.

If you have any questions about either network, contact me and I'll try to help.
