This piece is just amazing! I hope one day to be this good. I am experimenting with a much smaller piece for my first one. I was more amazed about how hard it is to find netting that is not synthetic. I finally found some cotton but boy is it expensive.

Hi, Julie. It's a pleasure find you here. Your work in Stitchinfingers is so lovely. You are a great embroiderer and lacemaker.

Don't respond to that friend request by princess.  She is a hacker who has tried to infiltrate at least 4 times.  I no longer think she is a spammer, as I did at first, but something worse and more destructive.  Thanks for telling me about the problem.

I think filet-Burato does fit.  After all, the embroidery stitches which decorate the fabric are the same, and nowadays most people who do filet lacis use a purchased net.  Human creativity invents so many borderline categories, it drives me nuts.  Do post some photos of your work.

Welcome.  Please go to NOTES and read them all.  They cover our policies, our territory and how the software works.  Join whatever groups interest you, but I suggest at least the BEGINNERS group.  There is a list of links on their opening page to various kinds of resources.  If you have any questions, contact me and I'll try to help.
