I suspect that the ning software does not recognize your cell phone as the same input source as your home computer. So until it knows that you are indeed Linda Moore, it won't let you change anything that the real Linda Moore typed…"

"ok so i am finding all kinds of resources for these kinds of needle lace and a lot use cotton thread. But i have noticed a lot are using a shiny (polyester?) thread as well. The best description i can find is polyester crochet thread but i…"
What kind of needle lace do you make, and how long have you been making it?
I only tried it out in the 1980s but did so badly I quit. I began again in 2010 with this group.
What kind or kinds of needle lace do you want to learn?
I will be happy just to make it neatly. Especially gros point and point de gaze. I also want to do my own contemporary designs.
Tell us about your other lace related interests.
I am an avid bobbin lacemaker and am interested in lace-like embroideries, especially pulled thread, Hardanger and other drawn thread embroideries. I am also interested in filet lacis and Teneriffe, altho I have not done any filet, and only tried out teneriffe. My laces are on my website, just a few pieces on flickr.
Thank you so much for including me. I look forward to learning all about lace, especially pag. Anyone out there with tips, ideas, or free patterns, please send them my way. Once again thank you so much. Sammie
Thank you for the add can you please tell me what sort of things I will need to buy to start the needle lace I have done a small bit of bobbing lace but the lady who was teaching stopped coming so I had to stop so I really would like to learn needle lace
Question --- Is there a site that compares common characteristics of various laces? Will some differences are visible, others are not to me. What makes Burano lace different from Youghal etc....as an example.
