I've made doiies by crochet. I've been doing that on and off for about 20 years. I'd like to learn other methods of lace making

Irish lace, Bobbin lace, I've done a little ratting and would like to improve. I have seen videos on fb of a Greek woman making lace with a needle and thread. Have no idea what it's called but I want to learn it.

Welcome. Please read all the NOTES. They explain our policies, the laces we include, and how the software works. There are 2 forms of knotted needle lace which are made in the hand with just a needle and thread -- Turkish/Armenian Oya, and Puncetto. We have groups for both those forms, as well as lots of pictures. For your other lace interests I recommend another free-to-join network http://laceioli.ning.com      It includes all forms of hand made lace -- crochet, bobbin, tatting.  If you have any questions about either network, contact me and I'll try to help.
