Make, learn and talk about needle lace.
it was lovely and delicious. I was surprised when I walked into the room, it looked like a lot of tables. But it looked like they all got filled. Before dinner, there was some entertainment. Folks in period costumes from the gold rush days (we are in Sacramento and the theme is the gold rush). they sang, made jokes, and performed a few tricks. what fun. after the dinner, there were some announcements and a well deserved thanking of the Gold Country Lacemakers for all their hard work.
after dinner, the members broke up into the regional groups to discuss IOLI regional issues. Our meeting was short and then it was back to shopping. It is amazing how much having fun can tire you out.
well, got to get some rest for my 8:00 class tomorrow morning. Fortunately for me, it will be held only a few doors down from my room.
more to come,
