It was the best time I've ever had.  Between the classes, the beautiful mountains, and the wonderful women I met, it was the best time ever!

It was held at the Sheraton Hotel.  What I liked most about the hotel was the lobby space.  There was so many places to sit and talk with folks.  And some wonderful chairs that rocked.  I found myself there after classes, tired and it was nice to sit in them and rock.

As an east coast girl only drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee, drinking Starbucks all week was difficult, but I needed that coffee to make it through.  It was nice that their hours were long.

There was a restaurant in the hotel.  I ate there a couple of times, I liked it.  But I think most of the ladies did not want to eat there.  There were plenty of restaurants close to the hotel, including Denny's and MacDonalds.  The area around the hotel was very nice for walking.

Keep tuned for my next installment.

Yes, you get me.

You sound so like me with signing up for everything! I can imagine the feeling though, it would be like being first starved and then offered all your favourite foods at once.

This is my second convention.  Last year I did the typical first timer thing and I signed up for absolutely everything that was available.  I was so exhausted when I returned home.  This year, I was a little more selective and things worked out a little better.  Next year, I'm going to try to not plan anything for wednesday so I can catch my breath.  We'll see.  Usually they have wonderful things to do on Wednesday.

I do understand about the wonderful feeling that goes with a 1st attendance at a lace convention.  You are suddently surrounded by 200 real people who love the same things you do, and are just as passionate about them.  Proof that you are not crazy!  You can tell all your friends and relatives that you are not the only one.  The first convention I attended put me in orbit.  I didn't come down until I had been home for a week.
