Thank you for the welcome Lorelei.  Sorry I took so long to respond.  New to chat, blogs, facebook, etc.  It all seems harder than making lace, which of course is easy!  Alice

Lorelei: Thank you for your kind offer of assistance, I seem to be working my way through the face book learning curve, but it is a struggle.  At least, so far, my computer has not entertained me with any dramatic error messages.  I also want to say, that I am grateful to the entire group, for the numerous tips, and generous information provided, esp on alencon lace.  Because of  Carolyn Wetzels article in Piecework and her mention of Lace Talk, and also her suggestions for further reading, I have been able to further my understanding of Alencon, and am now able to work reseau using Bart and Frances Egyptian cotton 240/2. Hours of fun.   The reference on Lace Talk to the U Tube Alencon video was also very helpful, and beautiful to look at.  It has been of huge benefit to me to read the comments of the true experts Devon Thein and Laurie Waters.  What a wonderful part of the lace community you are.  Alice Manki
