How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:(firstname.lastname@example.org ) for the full details.
The convention I mentioned, I.O.L.I., is The International Organization of Lace, Inc. and their website would give you good information about the group and their purpose. This summer the annual convention is in San Antonio, TX in late July.
About my Puncetto progress, I'm benefitting so far with Brona Bacilkova's diagrams and a German lady's videos listed in this site's resources. I do a little switching around since I'm a leftie which is working out.
The photos of your lovely pieces are fun to see! I am interested in what thread you use, its size, and the needle. I'm practicing with what I have on hand, DMC crochet cotton, size 10, and a tapestry needle. As soon as I get a small piece finished that looks almost good, I could learn how to add a photo or scan so you can see it. So far, I like Puncetto because it is so portable with minimal supplies.
Thank you very much! I think I need to give it a try again in the coming month. I may reach out to you!
I have one of the Italian Puncetto books as well (I think the first one) that was published a few years ago. I cannot remember the name. And I did buy a magnifier light and also got 'craft' prescription glasses so that may help.
Your picture working diagonally looks like a smart idea as well.
Linda - I did read your message to me. Let me explain some things about the software for this site. What they call a "message" is actually a private email going from you to me. This "message" function works between you and me (as the administrator), or between you and any individuals that you "friend".
To reply to someone's comment on one of your photos, look all the way up and down that page for an empty comment box. Post your reply in the box. Then look under the box and click on ADD COMMENT.
I was interested especially to hear that you had designed so many pieces. I look forward to seeing more of them. Have you looked through our album of puncetto photos (posted by our members). We do have a few who have done some imvpressive work. And some have experimented with it, and tried working in color.
Hi Linda, nice to meet you. I am doing a lot of puncetto, I've been practicing it since 2005. I live close to the valley where puncetto was born (Valsesia, Northern Italy), I followed classes there.
The piece I can see from your profile is beautiful, very complex. Did you draw it on paper before realizing it?
This is my first attempt to leave a comment. I am working from my cell phone and haven't figured out how to post pictures yet.
I have been making and studying Puncetto for about 4 years now, learning all I can from the internet .... thank you Avital!
I hope to join tbe Puncettp group.
Welcome. Please read all the NOTES. They explain our policies, the laces we include, and how the software works. Join any groups that interest you. We do have a group for PUNCETTO and one for OYA. And of course a BEGINNERS class for western European needle lace. If you have any questions, contact me and I'll try to help.
