Millie, thanks for the information on the I.O.L.I. I'll look into it. I live in California and unfortunately have no way to get to San Antonio this summer. Maybe next year the convention will be closer.
On Puncetto, you can't go wrong using Brona's wonderful information. I learned so much from her Sita Krajka site when l first discovered knotted lace. It was about 6 years ago that I decided I'd had enough of crochet and decided to learn the real thing... needle lace. And while looking on the internet about standard buttonhole stitch needle lace, I found knotted lace and Puncetto. I found Brona's site and Avital' s blogs. I have been practicing and learning Puncetto ever since. Right now I use Aunt Lydia's Crochet Cotton, size 10, and Dritz Cotton Darners, size 1/5. I prefer a sharp needle instead of a tapestry needle. With the sharp point it seems easier to make the knots more solidly together.
I like your avatar. I am currently trying to make this project from Sylvia's book, and have a question for you. The spider web recommended in the pattern says to use an uneven number of bars, but the diagram has an even number. Did you use a different stitch in this spot? Thanks.
Welcome. Please go to NOTES and read them all. They explain our policies, our territory, and how the software works. Please be aware that we do not include Romanian point in our territory, but we do include knotted filet lacis (but not filet crochet). If you have any questions, contact me and I'll try to help.
