What kind of needle lace do you make, and how long have you been making it?
I only tried it out in the 1980s but did so badly I quit. I began again in 2010 with this group.
What kind or kinds of needle lace do you want to learn?
I will be happy just to make it neatly. Especially gros point and point de gaze. I also want to do my own contemporary designs.
Tell us about your other lace related interests.
I am an avid bobbin lacemaker and am interested in lace-like embroideries, especially pulled thread, Hardanger and other drawn thread embroideries. I am also interested in filet lacis and Teneriffe, altho I have not done any filet, and only tried out teneriffe. My laces are on my website, just a few pieces on flickr.

Today I am switching to a different internet service provider. If t  here are glitches I may go silent for some time, until it gets straightened out. Just so you know.  The prospect freaks me out.

Thank you Lorelei!
I am very pleased as a beginner to be noticed. But the more I read this wonderful site, the more I understand how stupid I am. I did not know what size of a real museum lace was because I never held it in my hands. I can never make a real Alencon because I have poor eyesight even with glasses. I can only imitate the Alanson technique on a gigantic scale. But I can never stop loving needle lace.
Thanks again for your kind words and for your link to wonderful works!

I really love museum needle lace and want to know a lot about it. I want to figure out how to make lace modern and use in clothes. Now I am doing work where the needle lace will participate in my jacket.
I hope I succeed.
I was waiting for joining and every day I looked at the mail and did it lace / photo.
I love you all because you love needle lace! Thanks you!

Thanks for having accepted me in your group. You asked me what is Punto Tavarnelle so I wish to tell you some more. It is a needle lace, like many others, but very used in a little town near Florence, Tuscany, Italy. You surely know that needle lace is endless, we in Italy have a lot of different kinds of needle laces, each one known with the place name of the city where it comes from. Each one has its typical patterns, even if you can find some pattern in more than one city. Thread thickness and stitches are often different, as well as the way to work, but results are always the best ones
