I am an experienced embroiderer and have collected the finest examples of Whitework I can find. My goal is to study, preserve and educate so this exquisite form of needlework is not lost. The delicate lace and lace fillings used in the finest Whitework have always fascinated me. With no point of reference, I determined to "figure out". How they were made. Years of research(don't laugh, it was a rather circuitous route) led me to needlelaces. Finally, I can learn to make those amazing stitches!

Welcome. Please read all the NOTES. They explain our policies, the laces we include, and how the software works. I think you have found a community of like-minded persons!  Join any group that interests you. We do have one for ALENCON. We also have albums of Alencon photos, both antique and by our members, an an album of stitches. Take some time to explore our site. Each group has a list of recommended books, and links to good online information. If you have any questions, contact me and I'll try to help.
